The archive of extinct spaces collects traces of architecture that no longer exists. A visual scan of the room is made before the space is demolished. A camera captures details of the walls, the ceiling and the floor. Later, within another space, a projector on a motor tripod reinacts the captured movements of the camera. The extinct space is therefore reproduced within a neutral environment, the lost room is mapped over the new architecture, where now different spaces and time overlay each other. The projector, as a simulated contemporary witness of a lost spatial situation, creates a fragmented illusion that is reassembled in the imagination of the viewer.
